Serves: 6
Ingredients:
1 Pounds ground beef
1 Ounces packet of taco seasoning (typically 1 packet) (for seasoned beef)
.5 Cups water (for seasoned beef)
3 Ounces of 10 inch tortillas (6 tortillas) (for crunchwrap assembly)
1 Cups nacho cheese (warmed) (for crunchwrap assembly)
1 Cups shredded lettuce (for crunchwrap assembly)
1 Cups tomato, dice (for crunchwrap assembly)
.5 Cups sour cream (for crunchwrap assembly)
1 Cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend (for crunchwrap assembly)
3 Ounces tostadas (6 of 6" tostadas, purchase one package)
Preparation notes:
1. Prepare the seasoned beef:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.
Drain any excess grease, then stir in the taco seasoning and water.
Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Remove from heat.
2. Assemble the Crunchwraps:
Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave or on a skillet for flexibility.
Place a large tortilla on a flat surface. Spread 2-3 tablespoons of nacho cheese sauce in the center.
Add 1/4 cup of seasoned beef on top of the cheese.
Place a tostada shell on top of the beef layer.
Spread 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream over the tostada shell.
Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese on top of the sour cream.
3. Fold the Crunchwrap:
Carefully fold the edges of the large tortilla over the center, overlapping each fold to create a sealed wrap.
4. Cook the Crunchwrap:
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Place the Crunchwrap seam-side down on the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and sealed.
Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until crisp.
5. Serve:
Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
Slice in half and serve warm with your favorite salsa or hot sauce.
Enjoy your homemade Taco Bell Crunchwrap Supreme!
